Use quick view only when a larger image settles the next decision
Add quick view for visually judged products, and use quick add only when no PDP decision is being skipped.
Skip this if Spec-driven products whose suitability depends on detailed comparison, compatibility, or configuration
Add quick view when the shopper's next question is visual and a larger image or short gallery can answer it. Do not add it as a universal product-card feature.
Baymard observed quick views helping people inspect visually driven products without repeatedly leaving the list.[1] It separately found that quick views can hinder evaluation for spec-driven products, where the shopper needs full specifications or a comparison feature instead.[2] The useful decision is therefore category-specific: what does the shopper need to learn before deciding whether this item deserves a PDP visit?
