What every product card must show

Define a consistent card-information contract that lets shoppers reject, shortlist, and compare products from the list.

Skip this if Storefront surfaces that do not present products in repeated cards

Decide on one information contract for every card within a product type. The contract should contain the minimum facts a shopper needs to reject, shortlist, or compare an item without opening its product page. Comparable cards should show those facts in the same order.

Baymard observed participants dismissing relevant products when list items omitted information they needed or showed it inconsistently. Its recommended starting set is price, product title or type, thumbnail, ratings average with its count, relevant product variations, and a small number of category-specific attributes.[1][2]
