Keep the shopper's current catalog scope visible. Highlight the active navigation branch, provide a useful hierarchy breadcrumb, and expose nearby category routes when the catalog is deep enough to make location ambiguous.
This is one wayfinding decision, not three independent widgets. A shopper who lands on a product or collection from search, an ad, or a shared link may not have followed the menu hierarchy. They still need to answer: Where am I, what contains this page, and where can I go sideways without starting over?
