Let shoppers combine values within a filter group

Use OR logic within a filter group when shoppers reasonably need to see several acceptable values together.

Skip this if Filter groups whose values are genuinely mutually exclusive by business rule

Within one filter group, let shoppers select several acceptable values when those values describe alternatives. A shopper choosing blue or black should see products matching either color. Across different groups, keep narrowing to products that satisfy the combined requirements.

This is the common rule: OR within a group, AND across groups. It is not universal. A filter representing one required compatibility state, one location, or another genuinely exclusive choice may need a different interaction.
