Make the mobile filter drawer preserve context
Give shoppers a usable way to select, review, apply, and remove filters while the product grid is out of view.
Skip this if Stores without collection or search filters
On a phone, filtering usually hides the product list behind a drawer or modal. The interface must preserve enough context for a shopper to choose values, understand what is active, apply or cancel intentionally, and recover after closing it.
Do not assume your theme handles this correctly because it displays a Filter button. Shopify’s guidance explicitly calls for checking the drawer or modal experience, while Baymard’s research supports showing applied filters in the main results view where shoppers can review and remove them.[1][2]
