Show product scale with a useful reference

Choose an in-scale image that makes physical size intuitive without replacing exact measurements.

Skip this if Digital products or services with no meaningful physical scale

When scale is a buying question, include an image that shows the product against a reference the shopper already understands. The decision is which reference makes this product's size intuitive without creating a false impression.

A cutout shows shape and detail, but removes the surrounding cues people use to judge size. Baymard observed shoppers trying to infer product scale from gallery images and sometimes drawing inaccurate conclusions when that context was missing.[1] An in-scale image restores a reference. It does not replace dimensions.
