Know when a higher conversion rate hurts the business
Define economic and customer guardrails before a change so more completed orders are not mistaken for a better outcome.
Skip this if Pre-launch stores without a baseline; define guardrails now but do not claim improvement
A higher conversion rate means a larger share of sessions produced an order. It does not mean those orders created more profit, better customers, or a healthier operation.
Before approving a conversion change, decide which business outcome must improve and which guardrails must not worsen.
