Provide enough sizing information to resolve the product's actual fit decision. A generic chart is not automatically useful, and more measurements are not automatically better.
Baymard's apparel research found that irrelevant or generic sizing information frustrated participants and supports matching guidance to the product type, including measurements, conversion information, measurement instructions, and a findable link near the size selector.[1] The public article is apparel-focused. For furniture, equipment, accessories, packaging, or compatibility, apply the same decision method to that category's dimensional risk rather than copying an apparel chart.
