Make one optional post-purchase offer
Show a relevant, transparent offer after payment only when it cannot obscure confirmation or create an unclear order change.
Skip this if Orders where an added item would create unclear fulfillment, delivery, subscription, or support consequences
Use one post-purchase offer only when it is relevant to the completed order, fully transparent, easy to decline, and safe to add without obscuring confirmation. The customer has already paid; the interface must not make the original order feel incomplete.
Shopify’s current developer route can add a product after payment through a post-purchase checkout extension, but it is documented as beta and requires access for live use.[1] Shopify’s UX guidance calls for transparent costs, clear accept and refuse options, and relevant offers.[2] An installed app may expose another supported route; inspect the actual store before promising implementation.
