Use honest price anchors

Show a reference price only when the business can substantiate what it represents.

A crossed-out number is a factual claim before it is a visual treatment. The store is saying what that number represents.

The decision: show a price anchor only when its meaning is explicit and the business can substantiate it for that product, market, and period. If the reference is ambiguous or unsupported, show the selling price without the anchor.
