Choose autocomplete result types from the shopper's search task. Do not mix products, query completions, categories, pages, and articles merely because the search service can return them.
Autocomplete has two jobs: help a shopper express the intended query and offer a credible shortcut when the destination is already clear. A product result can shortcut to one item. A query completion helps explore a set. A scoped category suggestion narrows an ambiguous term. A content result can answer a non-product task such as returns or care.
