Turn frequency preferences into sending rules

Offer a small set of understandable cadence choices and prove that campaign eligibility honors each saved preference.

Skip this if Stores without recurring marketing sends or a messaging platform capable of enforcing subscriber preferences

Offer frequency control only when the sending system can enforce it. Give subscribers a few understandable choices, define the default for people who do not choose, and make campaign eligibility honor the saved value.

A preference center is not useful because it collects another profile property. It is useful because the property changes what gets sent. Klaviyo documents adding a frequency preference and building segments that include or exclude subscribers from campaigns based on it.[1] Equivalent controls depend on the installed messaging platform.
