Make feature and specification queries resolve to product data

Index the structured attributes shoppers name, then show the qualifying values in search results.

Skip this if Catalogs with no decision-relevant attributes beyond product type and name

When shoppers search for a feature or specification, make the result depend on the product data that proves the value. Then show that value in the result so the shopper can verify the match.

A query such as “waterproof jacket,” “14-inch laptop,” or “oak table” is not just a bag of keywords. It combines a product type with a decision-relevant attribute. Baymard's query-type research supports feature searches by using product features, specifications, descriptions, and structured data.[1]
