The European Accessibility Act entered application on June 28, 2025. The directive includes e-commerce services, while also defining scope, a service exemption for microenterprises, and bounded assessments for fundamental alteration or disproportionate burden.[1] Member States implement the directive through national law, so a merchant's obligations cannot be decided from the EU headline alone.[2]
